Spiritual growth looks different for all ages. Each of our ministries is uniquely designed to help you strengthen your faith through every stage of life.
We are passionate about partnering with parents to raise children, from infants to kindergarteners, who love Jesus. We do this through classroom activities where children are taught a Bible story in a creative way, they also get to interact with children their own age.
All of this is done in a secure environment. Our leaders and teachers must pass a thorough background check. It’s a fun and safe environment your kids will love!
FBC Kids is the 1st – 6th Grade ministry at FBC Pontotoc that is designed to reach kids and teach Biblical truth as we gather together each week. We provide trained leaders with the knowledge and empowerment to share the Gospel with kids and families. Our desire is to see the church partner with families as they grow together by experiencing discipleship at home so they can further the Kingdom of Christ.
Doctor Fun is our special children activities throughout the summer. Every Wednesday night brings a new activity and adventure. The activities will be listed on our website.
Midweek (Wednesday) Activities includes Mission Friends (Birth-Kindergarden), Girls in Action (1st through 6th Grade Girls), and Royal Ambassadors (1st through 6th Grade Boys). Mission Friends meets on the first floor of the Fellowship Hall. GA's meet on the bottom floor of the old education building. RA's meet on the third floor of the old education building. Be sure to check out our kids calendar throughout the year for all our special events.
Children's Choirs meet at 5:45PM on Wednesday's. Our kids work throughout the year to prepare for special Christmas programs and for the end of the year
FBC Pontotoc is passionate about seeing students become leaders of today and tomorrow as they follow Jesus. We do this in two ways — we strive to create opportunities for students (seventh through 12th grade) to be a part of the larger body of FBC and to connect them with their own peer group in age-relevant environments.
Weekly, this means that on Sunday mornings we encourage students to worship with their families and Sunday School at 10AM. On Wednesday nights we encourage students to attend Revolution at 6:30PM. Revolution is a fun weekly gathering of worship and teaching.

The Mission of Worship Ministry
Sensing God's call to develop a lifestyle of praise and worship, the Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church faithfully desires to magnify Christ by offering believers avenues in leading worship, discipleship , and evangelization through the arts.
Philosophy of Worship
Our audience is God and we aim to build a place where He can reside with pleasure and work in the hearts of people as we respond to His presence. Worship Ministry Members see themselves as worship leaders and ministers, not performers. They do not desire to draw attention to themselves or even the music they are using, but to usher people to the throne of God by offering and modeling authentic worship. As worship leaders, they desire to offer a sacrifice of praise that is worthy of our great God with excellence, joy and reverence. Therefore, they take their ministry seriously and strive to come before the congregation and the Lord with clean hands and a pure heart.
When it comes to getting the most out of life, age 55 is only the beginning. The 55+ Adult Ministry at First Baptist Church is all about living life to its fullest through fellowship with and service to one another. Our Senior Adult Group meets each month on the Third Monday at 12:00 Noon. We share food together and grow spiritually.
